Pig Farm at Nongstoin

Location : Mawiaban, West Khasi Hills District, Nongstoin
Year of Establishment : 1974-75
Objective:          
To serve as a demonstration farm to the public in general  about the methods of rearing pigs with improved practices.
To supply improved breeding stock of pigs to the farmers as per government approved rate.

Capacity :  30 Sows units
Breeding Stock Reared/ Maintained :    Hampshire Cross
Posts :   1 Nos(Temporary) and 3 Nos (Permanent)
Current status: The Pig Farm is under construction for upgrading into a Multiplier Farm with a capacity of 40 Sows units.
